Executive Director, Sidara

Neil Bruce is an Executive Director of Sidara and Chief Executive Officer of Wood. He is an experienced global business leader with more than 40 years’ experience across the energy, resources, infrastructure, and built environment sectors.

Neil is recognized for leading complex global organizations through periods of transformation, growth, and portfolio change. He brings deep experience in strategic leadership, governance, and capital‑intensive project delivery, and is known for aligning operational performance with long‑term value creation across diverse markets.

As an Executive Director of Sidara, Neil leads governance and strategic decision‑making at the group level, contributing to enterprise‑wide direction, oversight, and alignment. In his role as CEO of Wood, he is responsible for the company’s overall strategy, performance, and operations, leading a global organization delivering consulting, engineering, and operations solutions across energy and materials markets, supporting a secure and sustainable energy future.

Neil has held senior executive and board roles across public, private, and investor‑backed organizations in more than 50 countries and serves as an Independent Director on the Board of the UK Nuclear Decommissioning Authority. A Chartered Marine Architect, he holds a master’s degree from Newcastle University and was awarded an OBE for services to engineering.
