CEO, Penspen

Peter O’Sullivan is a member of Sidara’s Executive Committee and serves as Chief Executive Officer of Penspen. He brings extensive leadership experience across energy engineering, project delivery and consultancy, with a strong focus on complex oil and gas and broader energy programs worldwide.

Peter is recognized for combining strategic leadership with deep technical and operational expertise to help energy clients address complex delivery, safety and performance challenges. He works closely with multidisciplinary teams to support resilient, efficient and sustainable outcomes across the lifecycle of energy assets, spanning upstream, midstream and downstream activities.

At Sidara, Peter contributes to executive‑level leadership through the Executive Committee, supporting strategic direction and alignment across the group’s energy businesses, and chairs the Sidara Risk and Compliance Committee. In his role as Chief Executive Officer of Penspen, he leads the firm’s global strategy and operations, guiding performance, capability development and growth while ensuring the continued delivery of high‑quality independent engineering and advisory services to clients across international markets.

Prior to joining Penspen, Peter held senior leadership roles in the energy sector, including serving as Chief Operating Officer at Caithness Petroleum. Peter holds a Bachelor of Engineering from University College Dublin, a Master of Science from the University of Edinburgh, and an MBA from INSEAD.
