150 Holborn to host international leaders in sustainable building and construction

Sidara’s headquarters at 150 Holborn, London, has been selected to host the World Green Building Council’s 2024 Leadership Summit. This biennial event will convene 130 sustainability leaders from WorldGBC’s global network of over 80 Green Building Councils for a series of knowledge-sharing workshops.

The summit is focused on defining pathways for enhanced accountability and alignment between industry, policymakers, and the finance community to achieve global decarbonization and resilience goals through local action.

150 Holborn will provide a fitting backdrop, as an exemplar of sustainable design and construction, and the integration of smart technologies. The building is on track to achieve both BREEAM Outstanding and LEED Platinum ratings, in addition to its WiredScore and SmartScore Platinum certifications.

The two-day event forms part of London Climate Action Week which will also see Sidara Director of Sustainability, Balsam Nehme, address WorldGBC’s Global Solutions Forum. This public-facing event will focus on sustainable finance as a critical tool to accelerate a sustainable transition in the building and construction sector.

As a one of the world’s largest privately-owned architecture, engineering and consulting groups, Sidara is a longstanding supporter of the WorldGBC, with several of its brands being proud signatories of the WorldGBC Net Zero Carbon Buildings Commitment.

The Leadership Summit and Global Solution Forum are taking place between 24th to 27th June. With only 2,000 days remain to ensure we meet our 2030 global climate goals and buildings representing over a third of energy and process-related CO2 emissions, the urgency of building the transition has never been greater.
