Founded in Scotland in the early 20th Century, Currie & Brown is now a world-leading provider of project management, cost management and advisory services.
Since being acquired by Sidara, Currie & Brown has grown from a headcount of 636 in 2012 to almost 2,700 employees. In that time, net revenue has grown from £37m to £217m.
Under Sidara’s ownership, Currie & Brown has rapidly expanded its geographical footprint into APAC, the Americas, Saudi Arabia and Mainland Europe, gaining new clients in high-end tech and infrastructure.
Sidara has provided funding to enable Currie & Brown’s own acquisitions, including Sweett Group in 2016. This has allowed the company to grow its advisory capabilities into high growth areas, including sustainability, contract advisory services and data analytics.
Incoming talent recognize the independence of the Currie & Brown brand, while being part of a larger private entity has enabled the company to attract the best global talent.

Perkins&Will: part of Sidara since 1985
When Sidara acquired Perkins&Will in 1985, it was a 250-person architecture firm based in Chicago and New York.
With Sidara’s support over the last 40 years, Perkins&Will has grown into one of the leading and most recognisable global architecture and design firms globally, with 2,600 staff across 33 locations. As part of Sidara, the company gained access to major project opportunities in the Middle East and Africa.
Over time, Perkins&Will has expanded its expertise within architecture and added interior design, urban planning, branded environments, and advisory services across health, science, education and transportation projects.

TYLin: part of Sidara since 1989
Since becoming part of Sidara in 1989, TYLin has grown from a long-span bridge and structures specialist into a global multi-disciplinary infrastructure services firm, with 5,000 employees, present across four continents in 100+ offices.
Sidara’s support has enabled TYLin to grow into three distinct brands – TYLin, Introba, and Landrum & Brown – each with their own rich histories and strong brand recognition. As the group has grown its footprint and capabilities, so too has its client and contract roster, with 100% expansion in revenue since 2020.
Sidara’s long-term focus has allowed TYLin to evolve with the industry. It has adapted its operating model and reinvested part of its profit every year back into its team to enable it to thrive in a competitive environment.

Penspen: part of Sidara since 1990
Sidara’s third ever acquisition, Penspen are a global team designing, maintaining, and optimizing energy infrastructure to improve access to sustainable energy for communities worldwide. Penspen has a well-established reputation for delivering high quality engineering services to the energy sector which enables them to grow their client base and also attract and retain the best talent in the company. It is one of Sidara’s unique strengths that it enables companies to retain their distinct cultures and identities whilst thriving within the wider Sidara family.
Over the past 5 years alone, Penspen has grown from around $60m to over $125m net revenues, more than doubling in size by growing at 25% per year. Penspen employees have grown from 750 in 2021 to 1,200 in 2025, opening new offices in Saudi Arabia and Peru.
In 2024, with the support of Sidara, Penspen acquired C&I Solutions, an oil and gas electrical, controls and instrumentation engineering consultancy based in Aberdeen, significantly increasing complementary capabilities and growing our exposure to the offshore energy engineering market. C&I’s experience is also very relevant to the growth of our energy transition business.
