Just over a year ago we embarked on a mission. Our aim was to better understand what the future holds for our industries and the built environment.
We spoke to clients and talent across multiple continents, asking what they felt our industry must do to truly shape a better world.
The message was loud and clear – now is the time to think differently. What is needed is a true advocate for change – leaders, thinkers and doers to create and implement breakthrough solutions that improve our world with the help of the brightest technical minds out there.
Inspired by this mission – and taking advantage of a unique ‘house of specialist brands’ model in an industry defined by scale, consolidation and 'averaging out' – Dar Group today becomes Sidara.
We believe that we can add value to our clients through greater collaboration across our portfolio of companies to shape better solutions, as well as being the advocate for change that our industry and world needs.
Our collaborative is home to seventeen leading, specialist firms in the built environment, including Dar, Perkins&Will, Currie & Brown, TYLin, and Penspen. Our companies have worked on some of the most iconic and challenging projects where the natural environment and humanity co-exist. The most complex of these include airports, hospitals, mobility and urban development, civic & cultural, research & technology, energy transition and water assets right across the world.
As part of Sidara, our portfolio of firms will be able to better help our clients respond faster to unprecedented change and increased complexity. They continue to operate independently with their distinct identities and culture, but are unified by the common purpose and values of Sidara.
Our family-owned business of around 19,000 people across more than 300 locations has a long, distinguished history of designing, engineering and innovating solutions to the world’s most critical challenges. Together, our collaborative has featured in the top ten of the ENR Rankings for Top International Design Firms for fifteen consecutive years.
The new Sidara brand will be seen for the very first time at COP28 in Dubai. This global event that aligns directly with our mission will see sustainability experts from across our companies demonstrate how our collective genius is leading solutions to safeguard our planet for future generations.
This launch is merely the first step in our mission to strengthen the value we collectively bring to our clients and communities across the globe.
Sidara is the home of human endeavor. Under Sidara, our firms are committed to using our new brand to lead the industry as partners who go above and beyond to build for a world that feels more like home.
